Sophie Day has conducted research on health in the context of wider anthropological concerns including labour, gender and kinship relations in the UK and Himalaya. She has worked on sexual & occupational health, idioms of care, new technologies and spirit possession (in Ladakh, India) and is currently working on practices of house society in Ladakh and personalisation in the UK. She teaches the anthropology of health both to Imperial (public health and epidemiology) and Goldsmiths (anthropology) students.
