The papers are anonymous, but there is some circumstantial evidence to suggest that they are by Edward Lawrence, a Fellow of the RAI elected 1886. From the available records, it seems that these lectures were not delivered at the RAI. There are some references to a request for permission to use RAI lantern slides in the RAI House Archives
