  • Anthropological Association of Ireland
    The Anthropological Association of Ireland exists to promote social and cultural anthropology within Ireland.
  • Asociación de Antropología de Castilla y León
    The AAC-LMK was founded in 1989 to promote the discipline of socio-cultural anthropology in Castile and Leon by bringing together anthropologists working in or on the region.
  • Associação Portuguesa de Antropologia
    The Portuguese Association of Anthropology (Associação Portuguesa de Antropologia - APA), founded in 1989, is the representative association of Portuguese anthropologists.
  • Association Française des Anthropologues
    The Association Française des Anthropologues (AFA) was founded in May 1979 to promote the development of anthropology and relations between anthropologists, to inform the general public on anthropology, to represent French ethnology for international authorities and to enlighten anthropologists on their responsibilities.
  • Association Française d’Ethnologie et d’Anthropologie

    Founded in 2009, the AFEA (Association Française d’Ethnologie et d’Anthropologie/ French Association for Social Anthropology), is a professional association dedicated to promote the advancement of anthropology in France.

  • Association Pour la Recherche en Anthropologie Sociale
    APRAS(Association pour la Recherche en Anthropologie Sociale) has been founded in 1989 and is open to all doing research in the field of social anthropology, in France or elsewhere.
  • Deutsche Gesellschaft für Völkerkunde

    The German Anthropological Association congregates social anthropologists as well as people and institutions interested in anthropological issues. It was founded in the 1920s, with even older predecessors.

    A network of national and international associations that aims to promote worldwide communication and cooperation in anthropology
  • Institut Català d'Antropologia
    The Institut Català d'Antropologia (ICA) is active in disseminating the discipline of anthropology and creating a forum in our country for discussion, research and scientific study of society and culture. At its outset, this institution arose out of the concern of a group of anthropologists to open up new horizons and methods of work once the Franco dictatorship came to an end.
  • Israeli Anthropological Association
    The Israeli Anthropological Association (IAA) was founded in 1973. Starting as a four-field association, its membership today is dominated by socio-cultural anthropologists.
  • Istituto Italiano di Antropologia

    The Istituto Italiano di Antropologia (ISItA) was founded in 1893 by Giuseppe Sergi. The objective of the ISItA is to promote an interdisciplinary approach to anthropology which encompasses a synthesis of the biological, social and cultural aspects of the evolution of Man.

  • Norsk Antropologisk Forening
    Norsk Antropologisk Forening (NAF) was founded in 1979 and is now a comprehensive organization with members from all the main anthropological institutes in Norway, as well as anthropologists outside academia. As such, NAF offers a common ground of educational and social interaction for Norwegian anthropologists.
