Chapter 7 was compiled with extensive reference to the Annals of the Association of Social Anthropologists database, access to which was made possible by kind permission of the secretary, Nigel Rapport, with the assistance of the Annals editor, Tammy Kohn. Important information was also extracted from the 'Gold' report (Mascarenhas-Keyes, S. and Wright, S. 1995 Report on Teaching and Learning Anthropology in the United Kingdom. Social Anthropology Teaching and Learning Network).

Finally we would like to thank the National Network for Teaching and Learning Anthropology who provided a grant enabling the production of this Guide. The National Network is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council Executive Fund for Development of Teaching and Learning.
