The nature of the Index means that many of the articles we incorporate would be difficult to find via other means such as through Google Scholar or similar search engines, so in many ways the AIO gives a clear and the most complete picture we can hope for of what anthropologists have been discovering for the last 50 years.
Urgent Anthropology Fellowship
Research Fellowship in Urgent Anthropology: Sudan
The British Museum and the Anthropologists’ Fund for Urgent Anthropological Research offer a second Research Fellowship in Urgent Anthropology. The Fellowship provides (non-salaried) financial support for an eighteen month period of field research and writing, with a specific focus on Sudan.

The 'Dunbar Number', Evolution and Cognition - first call for papers.
On 13 November 2015, the RAI is pleased to announce that there will be held a one-day seminar to mark the work of Professor Robin Dunbar, this year's Huxley lecturer. The location will be University College London. Confirmed speakers include Robin Dunbar, Mat Grove, Russell Hill and Susanne Shultz.
Further papers are invited, which may cover any theme of Dunbar's work, including the 'Dunbar Number'. Would those interested please send in a title and indicative abstract (maximum 200 words) by 10 September 2015. The address for abstracts is: email@example.com.
