Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology

The Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology is part
of the Department of Social Anthropology,
University of Manchester. With the aid of contributory funding from
Granada Television, it has been in operation since 1987. Its aim
is to promote the use of film, video and other visual media within
anthropology.

The newsletter of the Nordic Anthropological Film
Association published 6-8 times a year. It is available in several
formats: as e-mail, Fax, or printed copy in addition to the web
version. The newsletter dates back to 1994 and most issues are available
on the web, though there is a gap in the period 1995-1996. The newsletter
has a calendar of events in the field of visual anthropology, general
announcements and notices of developments on the web. It also has
a notice-board in which users can post notes and queries, including
the search for films or film footage.
